ABOUT US
The Crystal Lake Thunder is an indoor drumline competing as a WGI Class A Independent group. In their 3-year history they have grown from a beginner performance group into a WGI Finalist.
Indoor drumline is a competitive winter-based pageantry art centered around rudimentary marching percussion. Stemming from competitive drum and bugle corps, the indoor drumline activity encompasses scholastic and independent circuits under one umbrella organization called Winter Guard International - or WGI. Thunder operates as an independent group, competing in the Percussion Independent A class. Most students of independent organizations range in age from 14 to 22, at which point you graduate from the activity. Each ensemble prepares a floor show lasting approximately 6 minutes, and spends their season rehearsing and perfecting their program until meeting mid-April in Dayton, Ohio for the WGI Percussion Championships.

Strikers Summer Clinics
Registration Page
All summer, the Strikers will be hosting workshops for middle school, high school, and college age drummers on Wednesday evenings. We will work with each performer to help them achieve their goals for the fall, whether that is making their college or high school line, moving to a new section in their band, or just getting better. Experienced instructors with background in drum & bugle corps, competitive winter drumline, and college marching band will instruct the students.
The summer will be divided into two eight-week sessions from May 3rd to June 28th and July 12th to August 16th. Each session will cost $50.
As with all of our programs, we do not want cost to be a barrier to participating. Please reach out if it is a problem and we will work with you.
Come join us and get better! Please contact allstars@clstrikers.com with any questions.
